CAPACITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES

My journey with the NDIS began when carers and providers reached out to me, recognising the need to engage participants in specialist capacity-building activities.

With a background in education, I have observed that many people feel empty and unfulfilled in a society that has devalued manual skills. I firmly believe that skilled trades such as woodworking, carpentry, furniture making, woodturning, and wood carving offer a way of thinking about life in a meaningful way that engages with the world, in a way that we would all benefit from embracing.

My approach offers personalised assistance to each participant, tailored to their individual abilities and skill levels. I engage participants in projects that align with their personal goals, which helps them overcome technical challenges and unlock their creative potential.

Sessions are typically offered in four-hour blocks and are invoiced under the access community: social, recreational, and learning activities code. Participants can conduct their sessions in their workshop or at our studio in Traralgon.

If you or someone you know could benefit from specialised assistance, I encourage you to contact me at 0432 474 551.
